Uzbekistan's Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov met with a delegation from the German company MAURER, led by CEO Holger Redeker.
The negotiations focused on the development of transport infrastructure and the expansion of engineering cooperation. The parties discussed prospects for implementing modern engineering solutions and constructing bridge structures, taking into account the seismological characteristics of the region.
Particular attention was paid to the application of international standards in the implementation of infrastructure projects. MAURER representatives presented the company's experience in constructing airports, road, and railway bridges in various countries. The company expressed its readiness to participate in projects in Uzbekistan using advanced technologies.
The parties also considered the possibility of creating a joint engineering cluster for the development of technical solutions and regulatory frameworks, as well as attracting German specialists to the research institute under the Road Committee. Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure.
