The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan has sent an official request to the Civil Aviation Agency following numerous complaints about the activities of private air carriers Centrum Air and Qanot Sharq.

According to the agency, 127 citizen appeals were recorded in 2025, and 145 in the first four months of 2026, which is more than double the figure for the same period last year. A further increase in the number of claims is noted.

The analysis revealed cases of charging for unrendered services, violations of service delivery deadlines, and poor quality service. Passengers also complain about denied boarding with a valid ticket, flight delays, and lack of compensation.

Additionally, violations are noted regarding providing passengers with food, water, hotel accommodation during long delays, as well as the absence of transfers and informing about possible problems when registering an excessive number of passengers.
