Uzbekistan Implements AI in Tourism

Tashkent and Beijing Prepare "Smart" Tourist Flow Management System

Uzbekistan and China discussed the launch of digital solutions for the tourism industry using artificial intelligence and big data. The negotiations were conducted by Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, with representatives from Beijing International Studies University (BISU) – one of China's leading research centers in tourism and cultural communications.

The Chinese side presented the Smart Tourism Data System platform, which analyzes tourist flows in real-time, tracks infrastructure load, and traveler behavior. The system operates on the basis of artificial intelligence and Big Data technologies, allowing for more accurate and prompt forecasting and management of tourist demand.

Separately, the creation of a similar digital platform for Uzbekistan was discussed. The parties considered the integration of data from the hotel sector, online bookings, transport, and mobile services, as well as issues of cybersecurity and personal data protection. The authorities expect that the implementation of such solutions will increase the efficiency of tourism management, improve service, and enhance the country's attractiveness for foreign guests.
