The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has clarified the reasons for delays in crediting tax cashback to citizens. As Alisher Otajonov, the chief state tax inspector, reported, to check the status of payments and the reasons for possible delays, users are advised to contact the short number 1198, where specialists can check information on specific fiscal receipts.
One of the most common reasons for delays is the absence of tax reporting from the company where the purchase was made. Also, cashback accrual may be suspended if the seller has a debt to the tax authorities. In such cases, funds are not transferred until the identified problems are resolved.
According to the department, in 2025, residents of Uzbekistan were paid about 1.5 trillion soums in tax cashback, which is 43.9% more than the previous year. For the first four months of 2026, payments reached 571.3 billion soums for more than 848 million fiscal receipts. The largest volumes of accruals fell on Tashkent, as well as Tashkent and Fergana regions. At the same time, tax authorities reported an increase in the number of fraudulent schemes related to fictitious electronic invoices and illegal receipt of budget funds.
