Over 60 Thousand Transactions in Two Months: Escrow Accounts Gaining Popularity in Uzbekistan

The secure mechanism is increasingly used for real estate and car purchases

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has summarized the results of using escrow accounts for real estate and vehicle transactions. According to published data, 60,780 transactions were conducted through this mechanism in April and May 2026, confirming the high demand for this secure payment tool between buyers and sellers.

In April, 31,757 transactions were registered, of which 18,960 were for vehicles and 12,797 for real estate. Another 1,516 transactions were in the process of being finalized. In May, the number of completed operations reached 29,023, including 16,584 vehicle transactions and 12,439 real estate transactions. 1,113 transactions remained in the processing stage.

The highest activity was traditionally observed in Tashkent, where over 17.7 thousand transactions were registered in two months. High indicators were also recorded in Fergana, Samarkand, and Andijan regions. The Central Bank notes that escrow accounts continue to strengthen their position as one of the most reliable tools for conducting large property transactions.
