In Uzbekistan, the number of operating enterprises with the participation of foreign investors reached 19,921 as of June 16, 2026. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee, noting the further expansion of foreign business presence in the country's economy.

The growth in the number of such companies reflects the strengthening of investment attractiveness and the gradual diversification of the business environment. Foreign capital continues to actively enter various sectors, forming a stable corporate infrastructure with international participation.

The main concentration of enterprises is still observed in the capital region. In Tashkent, 12,480 companies with foreign capital are registered, which accounts for more than half of the total. Tashkent region is in second place with 2,726 enterprises, significantly outperforming other regions.

Next are Samarkand region (728 companies), Fergana (647), Surkhandarya (567), as well as Andijan (480) and Bukhara (425). These regions demonstrate the most active attraction of foreign investments outside the capital and the metropolitan region.

In the central and western regions, the indicators are distributed more evenly: Navoi region has 325 enterprises, Syrdarya – 324, Namangan – 313, Jizzakh – 275, and Karakalpakstan – 245. The minimum values are recorded in Khorezm (208) and Kashkadarya (178) regions, which reflects the persistent regional imbalance in investment activity.
