Uzbekistan and Montenegro discussed expanding trade, economic, investment, and tourism ties. The meeting between Uzbekistan's Ambassador Oybek Shahavdinov and Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović took place as part of developing bilateral cooperation.

One of the main topics of the negotiations was the establishment of an Intergovernmental Commission, which is intended to become a platform for coordinating joint projects. The parties also discussed intensifying direct contacts between companies of the two countries and developing cooperation in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, information technologies, and digitalization.

The meeting participants paid special attention to strengthening the legal framework, cooperation in labor migration, education, science, and specialist training.

In addition, Uzbekistan and Montenegro considered prospects for improving transport links and increasing tourist flows between the countries. Following the negotiations, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue working on specific initiatives to develop mutually beneficial partnership.
