With the start of the new academic year, the Tashkent Metro will reduce train intervals on all lines during peak hours. The decision is linked to the expected increase in passenger traffic after the start of classes in schools and universities. From the new academic year, the first shift in Tashkent universities will begin at 08:00.

On the Chilonzor line, trains will arrive every 1.5–2 minutes, and on the Uzbekistan line, with an interval of up to three minutes. On the Yunusobod line, the maximum interval will be four minutes, and on the Elevated Ring line, 7–8 minutes.

The metro administration states that preparations for the increased load on the transport system are currently being finalized. The main task is to provide passengers with more comfortable and safe journeys during morning and evening peak hours.

At the same time, the rolling stock continues to be updated. Throughout 2026, the Tashkent Metro plans to receive 14 modern trains. Eleven trains have already been delivered to Uzbekistan, and three more are expected to arrive in the coming days.
