The payment platform Rahmat and the Uzbek technology company Gorgona AI have agreed to explore the possibility of stores accepting payments from AI agents. The parties signed a corresponding memorandum on September 22 at ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026. Such programs will be able to select goods, place orders, and pay for purchases within the authority granted by the user.
The companies intend to develop a mechanism for verifying the agent's authority, including allowed purchase categories, limits, and validity period. If an operation goes beyond the established limits, owner confirmation will be required. It is also planned to create an AI-friendly representation of the store with a catalog, prices, availability, delivery, and return conditions. The issuance of receipts, refunds, and disputed operations will be worked out separately.

Another direction will be security: combating fraud, protecting personal data, and logging AI agent actions. At the same time, stores will be able to decide whether to accept such payments, and the user will be able to revoke the agent's authority at any time. First, the companies will create a prototype in an isolated environment using synthetic data. A pilot with real stores is possible later and only with their consent. The transfer of personal and payment data under the memorandum is not provided.
