The Social Protection Agency and Yandex Maps have expanded information on the accessibility of Tashkent's urban infrastructure for people with disabilities and those with limited mobility. As part of the project, specialists collected data on more than 5,000 cafes, restaurants, medical institutions, shops, and other public facilities during walking surveys. For 39% of the surveyed organizations, the entrance is marked as accessible for wheelchair users.
During the surveys, ramps were found in 794 organizations, automatic doors in 613, wheelchair lifts in 502, special parking spaces in 361, and toilets for people with disabilities in 249 facilities. Tactile paving and staff call buttons were also recorded. In total, 16,000 organizations in Tashkent have at least one accessibility parameter filled in Yandex Maps, and across Uzbekistan, such information is available for more than 30,000 facilities.

You can check accessibility on the organization's card or by using the filter "Wheelchair accessible entrance". Users can independently add information through the "Correct inaccuracy" function and the "Accessibility" section, and organization owners can update data through their personal account. Information is available in both the application and the web version of Yandex Maps.
