From January to September 2026, Uzbekistan imported passenger cars worth $1.229 billion, which is 33.6% more than in the same period of 2025. At that time, the volume of supplies was estimated at $919.5 million. Electric vehicles accounted for the main part of imports in monetary terms.

The cost of imported electric vehicles increased by 27.6% - from $543.8 million to $693.6 million. The number of such cars grew by 32.9%, from 47,241 to 62,789 units. At the same time, supplies of gasoline-powered cars decreased: their cost fell by 11.2%, to $275 million, and the volume in physical terms decreased by 4.2%, to 14,769 cars.

Hybrid cars with gasoline and electric power units showed the highest dynamics. Their imports in monetary terms increased 4.1 times - from $63.8 million to $258.6 million, and the number grew 4.6 times, from 2,562 to 11,752 units. Supplies of diesel cars also decreased: the cost fell by 34.5%, to $1.5 million, and the number - by 78.1%, to 21 cars.
