Uzbekistan Airways will reduce the cost of tickets on domestic routes by an average of 20% starting October 16. The tariff review was conducted jointly with the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection of Uzbekistan. The airline expects that the changes will make flights between regions more accessible for business trips, leisure, and visiting relatives.

After the price reduction, one-way tickets from Tashkent to Andijan, Namangan, Samarkand, and Fergana will cost from 201,062 soums. The minimum fare for flights to Bukhara will be 241,274 soums, to Termez — 361,911 soums, and to Nukus and Urgench — 442,336 soums. The actual cost of the flight may depend on the chosen flight and the availability of tickets at the minimum fare.

The Committee for Competition Development reported that the work on price revision was carried out in fulfillment of the President's directive. Specialists analyzed opportunities to reduce transportation costs in air travel and prepared recommendations for optimizing expenses. It is expected that cost reduction will allow for a decrease in ticket prices on domestic routes.
