Russian NK-14ST industrial engines will be used to modernize gas pumping units in Uzbekistan, according to the press service of the United Engine Corporation (UEC).
Specialists from "UEC-Engineering" surveyed key compressor stations of the energy company "Uztransgaz" and developed a roadmap for their modernization project.
It is proposed to use NK-14ST industrial engines to replace the drives in 23 gas pumping units, which will soon exhaust their service life. They feature improved operational characteristics and high efficiency.
Moreover, NK-14ST engines are capable of operating effectively in the high-temperature conditions typical of Central Asia.
The use of UEC industrial engines will significantly increase the throughput capacity of gas pipelines and the efficiency of the entire gas transportation network of Uzbekistan.
Earlier www1.ru reported that KMZ modernized the process of manufacturing parts for a diesel engine.
