Russia and Uzbekistan are discussing opportunities for cooperation in the production of locomotives and passenger cars. This was announced by State Secretary and Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Roman Chekushov.
Interaction in the field of the automotive industry and transport engineering as a whole is growing very well. Just today, we discussed cooperation in the production of locomotives and cars for passenger trains. You know that subway cars have long been supplied from the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan.
Mutual trade between Russia and Uzbekistan demonstrates steady growth. At the end of 2024, trade between the countries amounted to about 10.2 billion dollars. The Deputy Minister noted that not only exports from Russia are increasing, but also imports from Uzbekistan.
