Uzbekistan to launch 782 new projects in 2026

$52 billion investment to accelerate the country's technological development

In 2026, Uzbekistan will launch 782 industrial and infrastructure projects with a total value of $52 billion. This was announced by the country's president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Among them are 228 large production facilities worth $14 billion, which will be a significant step for the technological and innovative transformation of the economy.

According to the president, a new approach to the work of the ministries of economy, finance, investment, industry and trade is required to increase competitiveness and investment efficiency. The projects include the construction of metallurgical complexes, chemical plants and the development of high-tech industries. Gold and silver deposits will be developed in the Namangan region, a metallurgical complex with a capacity of 300 thousand tons of cathode copper per year is being built in Almalyk, and the production of new fertilizers and chemical products will be established in the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions.

The five-year industrial development program envisages an increase in the added value of production from $36.5 billion to at least $60 billion, and the volume of high-tech products will increase by 2.5 times. By 2026, the country's exports are planned to be increased to $40 billion, with the share of finished and semi-finished products exceeding 55%.
