From January 1, 2026, equipment for electric vehicle charging stations in Uzbekistan will be exempt from customs duties. The corresponding decree No. PP-269 was signed on December 30, 2025, and is valid until January 1, 2028. The benefits apply to the stations themselves, components, and technological equipment for the service infrastructure, which should stimulate the development of a network of charging points throughout the country.
In addition, the decree provides for the exemption from duties of spare parts for silk spinning equipment, seeds and seedlings of mulberry trees, as well as elite and industrial seeds of the silkworm. For the public sector and companies working with waste landfills, minimum rates of income tax and social tax have been established - 1% until 2031, provided that income from waste activities is at least 90% of total income.
The new measures are aimed at supporting the economy, stimulating green energy and technological modernization, as well as creating comfortable conditions for the development of electric vehicle infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
