From January 1, 2026, all electric batteries with HS codes 8507102002 and 8507102003 will be subject to mandatory digital marking in Uzbekistan. Manufacturers and importers are required to register in the National Information System "Asl belgisi", equip production with the necessary equipment and obtain unique digital codes for each batch of products.
Retailers must also use special devices to read codes, including 2D scanners or similar technical equipment. At the same time, the state has provided tax incentives for the purchase of scanners in order to reduce the financial burden on businesses and speed up the transition to the new system.
Digital marking will ensure the transparency of the battery supply chain, increase control over product quality and protect consumers from counterfeit goods. The introduction of technology is considered an important step in modernizing the industry and strengthening confidence in electrical products in the domestic market.
