Islom Abdurakhmonov Became the Head

Islom Abdurakhmonov has been appointed Chairman of the Board of "Uzbekhydroenergo" for a term of three years. Prior to this, since December, he served as the acting head of the company after the previous head and his father, Abdugani Saginov, moved to the post of Chairman of "Uzbekneftegaz". The appointment was approved at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders on January 8.

Abdurakhmonov has specialized education in the field of electric power, power supply and economics. He studied at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Tashkent State Technical University and Tashkent State University of Economics. He began his career as an engineer and foreman at the Talimarjan TPP, then worked at the Tashkent City Electric Networks Enterprise and Uzenergoinspection, and since 2018 he headed To'palang HPD Holding.

The appointment of Islom Abdurakhmonov emphasizes the continuity in the management of "Uzbekhydroenergo" and strengthens the company's position in the country's energy sector, continuing the development of infrastructure and modernization of hydropower facilities.
