The new plant will provide the beverage industry with recyclable packaging and create hundreds of jobs

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) announced financing for East Can Solutions to build Uzbekistan's first aluminum can manufacturing plant. The facility will be located in Tashkent and will help meet growing domestic demand, expand market supply, and reduce dependence on imports.

The new plant will have a capacity of 1.1 billion cans per year, using energy-saving technologies and fully recyclable packaging. The implementation of the project will create more than 200 direct jobs and will have a positive impact on the country's environment by minimizing emissions and energy consumption.

East Can Solutions founder Shukhrat Ergashev noted that IFC's investment will help introduce advanced international practices, improve the industry's competitiveness, and strengthen the economic resilience of beverage producers in Uzbekistan.
