The Wildberries marketplace in Uzbekistan has introduced the BNPL service "By Installments," which allows payment for purchases to be split into six equal parts at two-week intervals. The option is integrated into the checkout process and will become available to users as the mobile app is updated over the course of several weeks. If an item is returned, all payments are automatically refunded to the buyer.
The service helps customers manage their budgets more flexibly, while enabling sellers to increase the average order value and sales volumes. According to research data, the increase in the average order value when using "By Installments" may range from 11 to 25%. At the same time, settlements with sellers remain standard: they receive full payment immediately after the purchase.
"We are consistently expanding the range of payment options on our marketplace so that customers can take advantage of the benefits of modern digital commerce. The launch of installment payments is an important step toward improving customers' financial comfort and increasing sales for our sellers," emphasized Wildberries Director in Uzbekistan Akmal Primkulov.
