Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasymov met with the management of Japanese companies Sojitz Corporation and JALUX to discuss accelerating the construction of the New Tashkent International Airport. The main focus was on signing a public-private partnership agreement and the integrated development of the airport infrastructure.
Sojitz, one of Japan's largest trade and investment holdings, implements projects in mechanical engineering, transport and infrastructure in more than 50 countries. JALUX specializes in aviation and airport infrastructure, duty free management, aviation catering and related services.
The companies presented plans to participate in the development of the commercial infrastructure of Uzbek airports, including duty-free trade and aviation catering. The parties confirmed their readiness to continue practical cooperation and ensure the consistent implementation of the agreements reached.
