President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his trip to the Tashkent region, familiarized himself with the Vades Group's project for the production of microprocessor modules. The production is being established in the Akhangaran district at the Eltech Industrial technology park and is focused on producing solutions for identification systems, SIM cards, as well as transport and payment cards.
The project, worth $15 million, is being implemented jointly with the German Infineon Technologies. The second phase of construction is 15% complete, with $7 million already invested. It is planned to create about 100 jobs on the 4-hectare site, and the export potential is estimated at $6 million per year.
In 2025, the republic imported similar products worth $35 million. After reaching full capacity, the enterprise will provide import substitution of approximately $5 million and establish supplies to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique, and Cambodia. The plant is expected to become one of the largest manufacturers in the CIS and strengthen the country's position in the high-tech product segment.
