The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan has introduced changes to the procedure for collecting fees for the temporary entry and transit of passenger cars with tinted windows from foreign countries.
According to the new rules, the fee is no longer charged for changing the color of the rear or rear side windows and is charged exclusively for the front side windows when entering or transiting through the country.
For the convenience of foreign drivers, the possibility of online payment via QR code in the "E-Transit" system has been introduced, while traditional payment at cash desks at customs posts is maintained. The new measures came into force on March 4, 2026 and are aimed at simplifying procedures for foreign motorists, as well as increasing the transparency and convenience of the fee collection system.
