In Uzbekistan, temporary restrictions on the operation of automobile gas filling compressor stations were introduced from 16:00 on March 10. This was announced by the country's Ministry of Energy, explaining the decision by a sharp cold snap and an increase in natural gas consumption by the population.
Due to the invasion of cold air masses, the load on the gas transmission system has increased significantly. As a result, a drop in pressure is recorded on some main gas pipelines. In order to stabilize the situation, the authorities decided to temporarily reduce gas supply to CNG filling stations for private cars and direct resources to ensure the residential sector.
At the same time, restrictions do not apply to public transport and vehicles involved in the social sphere - gas stations will continue to operate for them. The Ministry of Energy urged drivers to take the situation into account and plan their trips in advance. Full operation of gas stations is promised to be restored after warming and stabilization of pressure in the system.
