Red Wings airline is launching a new route between Yekaterinburg and Urgench. The first flight will depart on April 14 from Koltsovo Airport. Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft will be used for transportation, and departures are scheduled once a week - on Tuesdays at 04:30.
The journey time will be about 2 hours 50 minutes. Urgench will become the second city in Uzbekistan that can be reached by direct flight from the capital of the Urals: since 2022, the carrier has already been operating regular flights to Bukhara.
The new route will also open up more convenient access for tourists to the ancient city of Khiva, located near Urgench. Its historical center, Ichan-Kala, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the best-preserved complexes of medieval architecture in Central Asia. ✈️🌍
