Uzbekistan is intensifying cooperation with Oracle to develop digital transformation. Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Managing Director for Government Affairs Allison O'Brien during a visit to the United States to discuss the "Uzbekistan–2030" strategy and attract foreign direct investment.
The main topic of negotiations was cloud technologies and their large-scale implementation in Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries. The parties discussed the possibilities of integrating cloud services to accelerate the digitalization of government structures and businesses.
Particular attention was paid to the development of the digital economy, increasing the export of IT services and supporting the startup ecosystem in the region. Experts believe that such initiatives can significantly strengthen Uzbekistan's position as a technological hub in Central Asia.
