Regular air service has been launched between Tashkent and Ulan-Ude — the first flight was received by Baikal Airport on April 1. The new route should simplify travel and strengthen business and tourism ties between the regions.
Flights are operated by Centrum Air once a week, on Wednesdays, on a permanent basis. It is expected that the launch of the route will expand opportunities for trade, cultural exchange and business contacts.
Currently, about 20 regular flights are operated from Ulan-Ude to Russia, including destinations from Moscow to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, as well as regional flights. In addition, there is a charter service to the Chinese city of Sanya, which makes the transport hub increasingly important for international transportation.
