On April 3, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan — Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov held a working meeting with the CEO of the Malaysian research company MIMOS Holding Sdn Bhd Razman Jaafar. The discussions were attended by company leaders, representatives of the ministry, and the Uzeltesanoat Association.
The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of electronics, electrical engineering, and the semiconductor industry. Special emphasis was placed on the introduction of advanced technologies, the creation of an innovative ecosystem, and the training of highly qualified specialists. Measures were agreed upon for training and organizing specialized training in microcircuit design (IC design) to form a national talent pool.
MIMOS expressed its readiness to expand cooperation and introduce modern technologies in Uzbekistan. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work, exchange experiences, and implement promising projects aimed at developing high technologies and strengthening the semiconductor industry in the country.
