The Eurasian Development Bank (EBRD) has presented a report "Waves of Investment Megahype," which names the leaders of the next global investment boom.
Following digital technologies, ESG, and artificial intelligence, analysts highlight biotechnology, robotics, and virtual reality as the main areas capable of attracting large capital in the coming years. Experts emphasize that each technological wave builds on the previous one, creating infrastructure and demand for new industries.
The EBRD report highlights seven promising areas over the next 20 years: biotechnology and longevity, autonomous systems, quantum computing, virtual reality, energy networks, climate technologies, and the space economy. In the short term, biotech, robots, and VR remain a priority. The biotechnology market is expected to grow to almost $5.9 trillion by 2034, the robotics market will reach $376 billion, and virtual reality will reach $693 billion.
