Negotiations were held in Nurafshon between the khokim of the city, Ilkhom Klichkhanov, and representatives of the Asian Development Bank, dedicated to the launch of the large-scale Digital Innovation Valley project. The initiative is designed for implementation in 2027–2030 and could become one of the largest digital clusters in the region.
The project will occupy an area of about 35 hectares and will combine an IT park, an innovation center, research institutes, laboratories, educational buildings, conference areas and residential infrastructure. The key element will be the national center for artificial intelligence and digital technologies, the total investment in which is estimated at $200 million.
It is expected that the new ecosystem will allow launching more than 500 scientific and innovative projects, creating over 160 technological prototypes and more than 100 startups. It is also planned to attract private investment of $10 million, commercialize 40 developments and bring 10 startups to international markets. During the meeting, the parties discussed infrastructure, phased implementation and the creation of new jobs in the region.
