Uzbekistan has launched an online appointment system for embassies and consulates. Now, citizens who are abroad or temporarily residing in other countries can register through the single portal of public services my.gov.uz without the need for a personal visit and waiting in queues.
Previously, to receive consular services, it was necessary to visit diplomatic missions and register on the spot. Now the process has been completely transferred to digital format: the user selects a service, consular district, convenient date and time, and then receives an electronic ticket for admission.
The authorities note that the service is provided free of charge and is aimed at reducing administrative barriers. The introduction of online registration should speed up the receipt of consular services and make the interaction of citizens with government agencies more convenient and transparent.
