Direct flights between Tashkent and Yerevan are planned to be restored as early as May 2026. The flights will be regular – once a week – and will be operated on Boeing 737 aircraft, which will be the first such connection on the route in recent decades.
The launch of the route should significantly simplify travel between Uzbekistan and Armenia. Currently, passengers have to fly with transfers through Moscow, Istanbul or Tbilisi, which increases the time and cost of travel. The new route is designed to reduce these restrictions and strengthen business contacts.
The operator of the flights will be the Armenian airline Shirak Avia, founded in 2019 and operating international flights on Boeing 737 family aircraft. The opening of the line is expected to be an important step in the development of transport connectivity in the region and will stimulate the growth of tourism and business.
