Uzbekistan's telecom sector accelerates: the market is growing many times faster than the world and is preparing for a 5G leap

Internet, digital services, and operator investments have become the industry's main drivers

Uzbekistan's telecommunications market grew by 18.3% by the end of 2025 and reached 24.9 trillion soums. According to an industry study, the growth rate significantly outpaces neighboring countries in the region and exceeds the global average by more than seven times.

The main driver of development was the rapid growth of internet traffic and digital consumption. About half of operators' revenues come from internet access, while another 30% comes from mobile communications. B2B and B2G services also play a significant role, including cloud solutions, VPN, and business and government digitalization projects.

Major operators Beeline, Ucell, UzMobile, and Mobiuz continue network modernization and are launching 5G pilots in Tashkent and major cities, including IT parks and university campuses. At the same time, LTE-Advanced expansion, increased network capacity, and the development of alternative solutions such as fixed wireless access are underway, which should support further industry growth.
