The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have agreed to significantly expand their partnership in digital education and inclusion. The parties decided to elevate cooperation to a fundamentally new level, focusing on creating modern IT educational centers in remote regions, equipping talented youth with advanced equipment, and massively developing digital skills.
In the near future, a detailed concept for joint projects will be prepared, which will be partially financed by Japanese grants through Official Development Assistance (ODA). Key initiatives will include the opening of a Japanese Digital Center in Uzbekistan, expanding youth access to high-tech education, and implementing digital transformation programs. Special emphasis is placed on inclusion and sustainable development.
It is expected that the new projects will significantly reduce the digital inequality between regions, provide equal opportunities for thousands of young Uzbeks, and become an important contribution to the development of the country's human capital. This partnership will strengthen Uzbekistan's position as one of the most dynamic digital players in Central Asia.
