Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held talks in Tashkent with Cyprus's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos. The meeting focused on prospects for further developing bilateral cooperation and identifying new areas of interaction between the countries.
The parties primarily focused on expanding trade and economic ties. Specifically, they discussed opportunities to increase mutual investments, strengthen contacts between entrepreneurs, and develop transport and logistics infrastructure that could contribute to the growth of business activity between Uzbekistan and Cyprus.
In addition, the diplomats considered potential joint projects and initiatives aimed at deepening practical cooperation. During the talks, there was also an exchange of views on current regional and international issues of mutual interest to both countries. Tashkent expects that the intensification of political dialogue will help elevate economic relations between Uzbekistan and Cyprus to a new level.
