A meeting was held in Tashkent between representatives of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan and a delegation from the Iranian company Abrisham Tajhiz Daroo. The main topic of negotiations was the prospects for investment cooperation and the development of the country's pharmaceutical sector.

The Uzbek side presented to the meeting participants the ongoing reforms in medicine and pharmaceuticals, as well as measures to improve the investment climate. The opportunities of the innovative BioPharma City cluster were separately presented, which is considered one of the key platforms for localizing high-tech production.

Representatives of the Iranian company expressed interest in the Uzbek market and in exploring the prospects for launching projects for the production of medical devices and other high-tech products. Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and work out options for joint project implementation and the placement of production facilities in the country.
