Uzbekistan presented its achievements in the application of space technologies at the 69th session of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space at the UN.

The main focus was on using satellite data for water resource management and improving agricultural efficiency.

Representatives of the country spoke about the implementation of digital solutions that allow monitoring the state of reservoirs and assessing water consumption in the agricultural sector using Earth remote sensing data. Such technologies help to use resources more rationally in the face of growing climate challenges.

The event also confirmed Uzbekistan's cooperation with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. One of its results will be the holding of the international Space4Water conference in the country in 2027. The forum will be dedicated to water security, adaptation to climate change, and the use of space technologies to solve environmental and infrastructure problems.
