All international airports in Uzbekistan will be equipped with modern gas analyzers designed to enhance screening systems. The delivery of the equipment was announced by Uzbekistan Airports, noting that the technology was provided by the American side as part of the aviation security cooperation program.

The project was implemented jointly with US partners following a series of negotiations involving the US Embassy in Tashkent and the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The delivery is part of the Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) program, aimed at strengthening control infrastructure in partner countries.

Under the agreement, Uzbekistan received 12 LEIDOS gas analyzers – specialized devices designed to detect microscopic traces and vapors of explosives. The equipment belongs to new-generation digital systems and is used for non-contact analysis of various types of cargo and baggage.

The new devices will be used for screening passengers, hand luggage, baggage, mail, and cargo. According to experts, their implementation will speed up inspection procedures and increase the accuracy of detecting potentially dangerous substances.

It is expected that the use of modern gas analyzers will help bring the country's airports to higher international aviation security standards and strengthen the protection of critical transport facilities.
