Uzbekistan is intensifying the development of artificial intelligence technologies: a new AI cluster, focused on education, science, and startups, has been opened at the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Tashkent University of Information Technologies.

The university has launched an infrastructural platform that integrates research activities, the development of machine learning models, and the implementation of applied projects. The cluster includes the AI Laboratory, AI Prototyping Room, and AI Lecture Room.

The computational base has become a key element: the university has received a GPU cluster and high-performance servers designed for big data processing and artificial intelligence model training.

The new platform will be used for projects in AI, 3D design, the Internet of Things, and startup development involving students and young researchers. The artificial intelligence module of the ServSig project and a number of promising developments were also presented.

The opening of the cluster is seen as a step towards forming a full-fledged AI ecosystem in the country and strengthening the link between academia, the state, and the technology sector.
