Visa is expanding the reach of its Visa Pay payment solution by introducing a new Software Development Kit (SDK) that simplifies service integration for banks, fintech companies, and mobile money operators in Central Asia and Africa.
The tool allows Visa Pay to be embedded directly into existing mobile applications, accelerating the launch of virtual cards and digital payment services without the need to develop infrastructure from scratch. The solution is aimed at both bank account users and those who do not have access to traditional financial services but use mobile wallets.
The SDK includes issuer-side payment processing tools, user interfaces, tokenization mechanisms, as well as certified security and regulatory compliance components. This should lower the barrier to entry into the digital payments market and accelerate the introduction of new services.
The system supports a wide range of scenarios – from online purchases and international transfers to issuing virtual cards and humanitarian payments. In the future, it is planned to implement Tap to Pay technology, which will allow contactless payments using a smartphone.
According to Visa representatives, the new architecture should help financial organizations launch modern services faster and expand the possibilities of both domestic and cross-border settlements, especially in emerging markets.
