India's Adani Group is considering investing in the construction of new hydroelectric power plants and pumped-storage hydroelectric power plants in Uzbekistan. Negotiations took place in Ahmedabad between the corporation's management and a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov.

Gautam Adani, founder of Adani Group, noted the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan's hydropower sector and the industry's attractiveness to foreign investors. The parties discussed the introduction of modern technologies, the construction of new energy facilities, and the launch of joint investment projects.

Special attention was paid to HPPs and PSPs. According to Adani, the corporation is interested in participating in such projects. Hydropower is seen as an important part of developing Uzbekistan's "green" energy, increasing the stability of the energy system, and more efficient use of renewable energy sources.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue working on cooperation mechanisms, joint preparation of investment initiatives, and their further implementation.
