Uzbekistan has agreed to attract over $6 billion in private investment for artificial intelligence-related projects by 2030. The main part of the funds will be directed towards creating a computing infrastructure with a total capacity of 800 MW. New capacities are planned to be introduced in stages across different regions of the country.

According to Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies, Uzbekistan's existing computing infrastructure is already operating at almost 90% capacity. An additional facility is expected to be launched in November, and another one by the end of 2026. Government agencies will also need to adapt their own IT systems to the growing demand for computing resources.

In parallel, Uzbekistan is increasing its export of AI technologies. The number of exporting companies among residents of the Tashkent IT Park has increased from 24 in 2024 to 160 now. According to the ministry, AI products and services developed in the country are already supplied to 80 countries worldwide.
