JSC "Uzmetkombinat" and Chinese MCC CERI signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. The document was concluded on August 9 in Beijing after negotiations between the management of the Uzbek enterprise and the Chinese company. The meeting was held with the participation of Uzbekistan's Ambassador to China, Farhod Arziev.

The parties focused on the prospects for developing the Tebinbulak iron ore deposit, building a modern blast furnace metallurgical complex, and developing the Temirkan deposit. Geological surveys, pre-project engineering work, modern technologies, and the creation of the necessary production infrastructure were also discussed.

The memorandum is intended to become the basis for transitioning from negotiations to the implementation of large industrial projects. Their goal is to increase Uzmetkombinat's production capacity, expand the enterprise's raw material base, and introduce modern engineering solutions.

MCC CERI is part of the Chinese Metallurgical Corporation of China and specializes in projects in metallurgy, mining, and heavy industry. The company has been working in this field for about 70 years and is involved in the design of large industrial facilities.

The parties also agreed to continue developing industrial and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
