In New York, the Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, met with BlackRock management to discuss preparations for the launch of the Tashkent International Financial Center in 2027. According to her, the investment company is involved in shaping the concept and structure of the future center. The meeting was attended by BlackRock President Robert Kapito, Vice Chairman Thomas Donilon, Global Infrastructure Partners Head Adebayo Ogunlesi, and BlackRock's Head of Financial and Strategic Investors Group Charles Hatami.
The TIFC is being established on the territory of the Tashkent City complex. In September, Saida Mirziyoyeva was appointed its managing director, and the legal status of the center was enshrined in the Constitutional Law, signed on July 10, 2026. The document defines the management structure and special legal regime. The TIFC's operations are expected to apply the principles and legislation of England and Wales, as well as relevant judicial precedents, provided they do not contradict the Constitution of Uzbekistan.

The main directions of the TIFC will be attracting investments, developing the capital market, and expanding financial services. Within the center, it is planned to develop banking and insurance, Islamic finance, fintech, e-commerce, as well as digital and crypto asset markets. Concurrently, a round table was held in New York with representatives of American business, dedicated to the prospects for the development of Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
