IT Park Uzbekistan and Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) have agreed to continue developing cooperation in the fields of startups, artificial intelligence, and research and development. The negotiations took place during ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026 between representatives of the two organizations. Separately, the parties discussed supporting technology companies in entering new markets and developing ties between the startup ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
As part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026, four startups from the HKSTP ecosystem attended the event. Their representatives have already held meetings with Uzinfocom, Uztelecom, and TUIT, where they discussed prospects for further cooperation and the companies' entry into the Uzbek market. At the same time, the organization of reciprocal visits of Uzbek startups to Hong Kong is being considered to familiarize themselves with the HKSTP infrastructure and establish contacts with local technology companies.

The cooperation is developing after the parties signed a memorandum of understanding in July 2026. In August, HKSTP held a webinar for Uzbek companies on opportunities to enter the local market, and in September, a delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan visited Hong Kong as part of the Belt and Road Summit 2026. The HKSTP ecosystem unites more than 2400 technology companies from 26 countries and over 17,000 R&D specialists. Key areas include AI, robotics, biotechnology, fintech, smart city technologies, and advanced manufacturing.
