In Uzbekistan, in 2026, the Competition Committee and its territorial divisions received 1230 appeals related to e-commerce. This accounts for 19.2% of the 6414 applications received by the agency in the areas of retail trade, online sales, and public catering. Following the review, 704 appeals, or 57.2%, were resolved in favor of consumers with full restoration of their rights.
For another 453 appeals, citizens were provided with legal explanations, which accounts for 36.8% of the total number. 33 applications were sent to other state bodies in accordance with their powers. The largest number of complaints came from major marketplaces and installment services: Uzum Market received 446 appeals, Uzum Nasiya — 184, Alif Shop — 92, Ishonch network — 69, and Yandex services — 63.

The analysis showed the need to improve the identification of e-commerce participants and increase the transparency of information for buyers. The Committee also highlighted electronic contracts, installments, delivery and refunds, as well as the responsibility of online platforms. Additional measures under consideration include digital pre-trial dispute resolution, the development of electronic document management, and increasing the legal literacy of consumers and entrepreneurs.
