On October 6, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the founder of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov. The main topic of the negotiations was the current work of the Russian company in the country's energy sector and the prospects for further expansion of its activities in Uzbekistan.

Alekperov presented information on the implementation of Lukoil's projects, including geological exploration and the development of promising hydrocarbon fields. Separately, the meeting participants discussed the development of the retail network for petroleum products.

Following the meeting, the parties reviewed plans for further expanding Lukoil's presence in Uzbekistan. The discussion covered both the company's ongoing work areas and promising projects in the country's energy sector.
