Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan signed an agreement on cooperation in the space industry within the Organization of Turkic States. The document was named “Initial Framework Contract in the Space Industry for Capacity Building Cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States”. The ceremony took place in Antalya during the 77th International Astronautical Congress with the participation of Uzcosmos Director Shukhrat Kadirov.

The agreement provides for expanding interaction between countries in key areas of the space industry. These include the development and implementation of space technologies, the creation of satellite systems, scientific research and the development of industrial cooperation.
Special attention is planned to be paid to strengthening the professional and technological potential of the participating states. The signing of the document forms an institutional basis for further joint projects and should ensure closer interaction between OTS countries in the space sector.
