Uzbek synthetic wax manufacturer Vektan Chemical has announced the launch of its first facility in the USA, located in Hitchcock, Texas. The 35,000-square-foot production facility was recently acquired, and total investment in the project will exceed $7 million. The plant is expected to create jobs and bring up to $900,000 to the local budget over ten years.
CEO Anvar Turdibaev noted the importance of support from the Hitchcock Economic Development Corporation, the Greater Houston Partnership, and the U.S. Department of Commerce. The company plans to become a long-term partner in the region's industrial community and strengthen its presence in the international market.
According to City Manager Mary Galle, Vektan Chemical will become one of Hitchcock's largest employers, contributing to the development of the local economy and attracting new investment in the industrial sector.
