Uzbekistan ranked 62nd in the Government AI Readiness Index for 2025, compiled by Oxford Insights, improving its result by eight positions compared to last year and scoring 54.69 points. The republic showed the greatest success in the categories of "Policy Capacity" (80.5) and "Government Management" (79.13), while the "AI Infrastructure" indicators amounted to 45.87 points.
Experts note the country's steady progress, especially against the backdrop of the president's ambitious goal of training five million specialists in the field of artificial intelligence by 2030. In the South and Central Asia region, Uzbekistan ranks fourth after India, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.
The index assesses the readiness of 195 countries to integrate AI, taking into account economic, climatic, and social challenges. The document records achievements, identifies gaps, and offers recommendations for the effective implementation of technologies in public administration, which makes Uzbekistan's success particularly noticeable against the background of a complex global digital environment.
